What is the difference between U.V. gel nails and acrylic nails?
Acrylic nails, often referred to as sculptured nails or enhancements, they are created by combining acrylic liquid and acrylic powder. They can be directly applied to the natural nail for an overlay or sculpted on a form, giving a flawless natural look.

U.V. gel nails are similar to acrylics. The main difference is that they are odorless, use a non-acid primer, and need a U.V. gel light to cure the nails. They may be applied to the natural nail for an overlay or sculpted on a form to give a flawless natural look. A U.V. gel top coat may be applied on top of acrylics to create a long lasting shine, but this combination would not create U.V. gel nails.

What is a backfill vs. a fill?
If you wear enhancements your nails will require maintenance. A fill refers to the product addition needed to the new growth area against the cuticle. We recommend a fill every two to three weeks. A backfill is the repositioning of the white free edge, if you wear pink and white enhancements. A backfill appointment will be combined with a fill appointment, and is recommended every four to six weeks.
What is threading?
Threading is an ancient Middle Eastern technique that uses a thread to remove the entire hair follicle. The technician creates a lasso with the thread to remove the hair. The discomfort is similar to waxing or tweezing, but the process is much faster. It is a great hair removal alternative for people who are sensitive to waxing.
